Wonder Woman #11 is out this week (7/18). Here's a sequence from the issue that I particularly like. There's something about coloring mundane, everyday scenes like the main street or a doctor's office that really captivates me. I think it's because I can pull from things I notice in everyday life. Like that terrible wood paneling matched with an awful deep green/blue carpet that's not been updated in three or four decades. I mean, I've been in an office like that.
Also, I like how the scenes change, and the pace at which they shift from one to another across these three pages. From inside the outdated office, to outside on a crisp and clear (note WW's jacket) afternoon just after a rainstorm (note the fresh puddle on the ground), to an odd half lit eclipse scene. This sequence is a great example of color adding a layer to the story telling, and it sure was a blast to work on.
If you're interested in seeing the preview with words, CBR has it posted here.

The Crow #1
Fog, humidity, drizzle. This issue showed me that I really like coloring a scene when there's a lot of moister in the air.
Here's three pages from The Crow #1, which came out last week (7/11), drawn by my buddy, Kevin Colden...

I just saw that iFanboy posted a cover for Planet of the Apes: Cataclysm #2. Gabriel Hardman drew it and I colored it...

Secret Avengers 28
Hey hey! I have a couple of books coming out this week (6/20). Wonder Woman #10, which you can see a bit of here, and Secret Avengers #28.
Due to some time constraints, Secret Avengers #28 is the first issue where I've used a coloring assistant. A great colorist named Jeremy Mohler helped me out on this issue and in fact, he did a lot of the heavy lifting under my direction, and did an outstanding job.
You should go to Jeremy's website and check out his art work (he not only colors, but draws too).
Here's a preview of Secret Avengers #28, and below are some pages without the words...

Wonder Woman #10
A preview is up of Wonder Woman #10 over at CBR. The art duties in this issue are split between Kano and Tony Akins with Dan Green inks. The preview pages are all Kano's, and Tony/Dan take care of the second half of the book. They all worked really well together, and at first glance or without reading the credits, I think it's hard to tell there are two pencilers on this issue. Here's the pages without the words...

Buuuuuurn!
I'm doing the colors for the digital comic of the TV show, Burn Notice, drawn by my friend Tony Shasteen. Here's the image for the app's home screen and the cover for chapter 1 (which is kind of animated in the app). The app is free and our fist issue released today (6/14), so if you're into the show you should go and check it out!

Heroes Con 2012
It's the most wonderful time of the year. Yep, Heroes Con is almost here!
I'll be there all 3 days and sitting at table AA-510. I'm also going to be on a Wonder Woman panel on Sunday at 11 AM. You can see the full panel schedule here.
I'll have my markers with me and I'll be doing color commissions again this year, so if you have a sketch you'd like to have colored, bring it by! (note: this means I'm coloring OTHER PEOPLE'S sketches with markers, not drawing myself, thanks!)
$25 - Single character w/ no background, or head sketch.
$50 - Two characters, or single character w/ background.
Prices for something other than what's listed here TBD on a case by case basis.
Here's some crappy phone pics of marker work I've done over some Chris Samnee drawings...
