Adventures of Superman
I colored a short Superman story written by Jeff Parker and drawn by Chris Samnee. You can check it out here. It's only digital for now and only ¢99, but in a month or so DC will start collecting them and printing them in issues (3 10 page stories per printed issue, I think).

Adventures of Superman
While I'm posting art drawn by the amazing Chris Samnee, I should totally post this awesome cover we did together. It's for a Superman story from DC that will come out first on digital devices. This image will be the variant cover for the print version which will come out sometime later. Chris and I will be providing art for one of the stories, and our portion is written by Jeff Parker. Yeah, pretty sweet.
Here's an article over on IGN talking more about the book, and below is the variant cover...

The Shadow Year One #3 cover
Here's a look at the cover for The Shadow Year One #3 drawn by Chris Samnee and colored by me. I really enjoy coloring these, and Chris comes up with some great designs that really lend themselves to coloring.

Damn dirty apes...
I love the first 5 Planet of the Apes movies (hated the Burton one, enjoyed the most recent one). I also love Gabriel Hardman and Chris Samnee art. So, the day that I colored two Apes covers drawn by those guys was a really good day. They're for the Planet of the Apes Annual from Boom! Studios (out in August I think).

Where will you be on Free Comic Book Day? Here's where I'll be...
May 7th is Free Comic Book Day. Did you know that? If you're going to be in the Charlotte area that weekend, you should come by the comic shop, Heroes Aren't Hard to Find because they're going to have a whole mess of comics creators at the shop all day (including me!). Check out the full list here.
One of the free comics on offer from Marvel, is Captain America/Thor: The Mighty Fighting Avengers written by Roger Langridge, drawn by Chris Samnee, and colored by me. Check the preview out here. So, come by and pick up an issue, and if you want, I'll even deface it with my signature!

Arcade: Death Game
This is going to be used in some way or another for Paul Tobin's Arcade: Death Game. It was going to be 3 separate covers, but now I'm being told it's something else. Meh, what do I know, I'm just payed to hit the color button. :)

2010 and Thor TMA...
Hope everyone's enjoying the first few days of 2011. I am finding it incredibly hard to get motivated with work.
A lot of "Best Of" lists for comics in 2010 are out, and Thor TMA sure got a lot of love.
Comics Alliance has it at #8 in it's top 10...
Roger Langride, Chris Samnee, Matt Wilson and Rus Wooton have collaborated to create a rare gem of a comic, and in their own way managed to subvert the contemporary definition of quality in the superhero genre.
It's also #8 in CBR's top 100...
The best introduction to the character since Walt Simonson's run almost three decades ago, Roger Langridge and Chris Samnee turned out to be an ideal match in terms of tone, charm and making this kind of superhero book look easy.
Graeme McMillan from the Robot6 blog has it at 7 in his top 10 and the book is mentioned numerous times by creators as a favorite book in Looking forward, looking back: Creators weigh in on comics in 2010 and 2011 also at Robot6.
George Marston over at Newsarama gave Thor TMA his Gold Medal...
My gold medal this year belongs to the unsung masterpiece of modern superhero comics that is Thor: The Mighty Avenger. As I write this, there's only one issue left, and a bigger crime against comics there could never be. Everything about this book is perfect.
iFanboy has Thor TMA listed in it's Top 10 Best Things About Comics in 2010 article at the #5 spot...
Clearly there was an audience out there -- not a big one, mind you, but a passionate one -- for a Thor comic that existed free of the shackles of Marvel Universe continuity and that served not to prop up a larger storyline, but to just tell fun, all-ages stories full of charming characters and wonderful art.
As well as a mention in their Best Writers, Artists, and Series of 2010 video podcast...
The book may be on other lists, but these are the few that I've seen. I'm really glad I was a part of such a special book with some great creators. And looking ahead we still have issue #8 coming to stands in January, and the Free Comic Book Day issue in May.
Speaking of issue #8, Robot6 has an exclusive preview. Click here to check that out!

Thor: TMA Poster...
Hey! So, I forgot to post this a few weeks ago when I first saw it, but Marvel is making a Thor poster and they're using the cover Chris and I did for the Thor: TMA #1 and #2 reprint, Double Rainbow. The image is below, and you can order the poster from HERE, or your local comic book shop. The cut off date for preorder is Nov. 19th (I know, that's soon, sorry!).

It's been a while...
Well, It's been over a week since I returned from NYCC. It was a fun show, and flew by. I didn't have a table, and I just walked around visiting with friends and taking in the sights. Not much new going on in terms of work. Issue 4 of Ultimate Comics Mystery comes out next week, but no previews yet, so stay tuned those pages soon. In the mean time I saw the cover of Thor: The Mighty Avenger #8 on Marvel's site, so I'll post it here...

I'm back (plus Thor #5)
Hey hey! We just got back from Korea and it's back to coloring comics. I'll be finishing up Tho: TMA #5 first and then issue #2 of Wolverine. The next few weeks will be busy with work, and then NYCC will be here before I know it, and I can't wait!
Anyhow, here's a preview of Thor #5 from Robot 6 on CBR. Below is a page from that preview...

Pick of the week!
Hey folks! I haven't been keeping up with posting or any internets-going's-on because I'm in Korea this week, but I'll be back soon! I did work in two Wolverine books that came out last week, Wolverine #1 and Wolverine: Road to Hell. I've got Thor: The Mighty Avenger #4 out this week, and iFanboy.com has it as their pick of the week! So that's pretty cool. :D
Here's the cover, drawn by Chris Samnee and colored by one of my favorite colorists, Christina Strain.
Alright, that's it for me. I'll be back soon with some more work to post!
