I guess there's finally a date for Outlaw Territory Vol 3. I colored a story written by Rob Williams and drawn by Rey Macutay. I loved the story, which isn't strictly a western (in a western anthology) and the art was GREAT! Here's a look...

Catch up (July)
Been keeping my head down, and staying busy with work lately. So, here's a bit of catch up, and a look at some books that have just come out, about to come out, or will be out in the next couple of weeks. First up is The First X Men #1, which is out next Wednesday (7/26). There's a preview of the first few pages over on CBR, and below is just a little Wolverine and Sabertooth fighting some guys in robot suits...
Next up is a nifty little motorcycle chase scene from Secret Avengers #30 which was previewed in an article with writer, Rick Remender over on CBR.
And, from Image Comcis, Graveyard of Empires #4 came out last week (7/25). Written by Mark Sable and drawn by Paul Azaceta. Check out the preview here, and another page below...

Putting the band is back together...
(This post wasn't published along side the Phonogram Vol. 3 announcement because I'm an idiot AND I was out of the country. A non idiot would have published it no matter what land mass they occupied that week.)
Announced at the Image Expo, Phonogram Volume 3 is coming!

Graveyard of Empires #3
Here's 3 pages from Graveyard of Empires #3
that flash back to the 80's with some Russian Hind helicopters and CIA supervised mountain bases. I'm not sure how they'll credit the colors in this book, but Paul Azaceta (the artist of the book) and I have worked together very closely on the colors, so it should be noted that he has a lot to do with how these colors came out.
These flashbacks, and a few pages toward the end of the issue, are some of my favorite pages from the issue.
Also, there is a huge lettered preview up over at Multiversity, so go check that out.
The book comes out today (Jan 4th), enjoy...

Phonogram #7, the end...
The last issue of PGSC is coming out this week (preview). It is a great issue, and as much as issue 6 was about the writing, this issue is all about the art telling the story. This issue is probably the most fun issue of the series, and I had a blast coloring it.
I'm really grateful to have been a part of this book. I was nervous being the new guy on the book since the first series already had a good following and set the bar pretty high in terms of quality story telling. My hope is that I at least pulled my own weight, because Jamie and Kieron really did some outstanding work.
It's too bad this is probably the last Phonogram comic to ever come out, with the exception of the trade, which is going to look great. Everyone should go and pick up the trade when it comes out, that way Jamie and Kieron can see some money from this labor of love that they've masterfully crafted.
Thanks for the good times Phonogram!

Phonogram #6 is out 12/9
Would you look at that, a one month gap between Phonogram issues! Hooray! To be fair to the creative team (including me), the only time we were the cause of the delay was between issue 1 and 2. Since then it's been issues beyond our control. Comixology has a preview here, and I'm posting the pages without the words below.
