The Anchor

One of the new books I am coloring for BOOM! Studios is called The Anchor. Written by Phil Hester (it's so crazy to say I'm working on a Phil Hester book!) and some really amazing art by Brian Churilla. I have a really good feeling about this series, and I hope I can contribute even half as much to the book as the rest of the creative team. Anyhow, there is a ten page preview over at CBR, click here to check that out.

I've posted three of my favorite pages from the preview below.

I've got a couple of other things going on that I'm not sure if I can talk about yet, but they are equally as cool as The Anchor, so I can't wait to share. Also, Dead Run is all done. I finished coloring the last issue last week and it will hit shelves sometime in September (check BOOM! for a date). I will post some of those pages as it gets closer to release. Alright already, stop reading and check out those pages!

It's just that time of month

Well, a few weeks have rolled by since I had images I could post freely, and now I have a few new colors to show.

You can also see Dead Run #3 previewed with the text over at CBR, check that out here. Dead Run comes out today, Wed. August 5th.

45 (not the records)

I have colored a piece for an anthology written by Andi Ewington, put out by Com.x called 45. I've been asked to hold off on putting up my colors until the book is closer to release, but I can say that I had a lot of fun doing the piece and that I worked in a way that I haven't ever tried before. So that being said, I can't wait until it comes out in print so I can see how it came out.

I'm snagging a quote from Scott Thill's preview of 45 over at WIRED for a description of the project... "After journalist James Stanley skips a test that would reveal whether his unborn child is carrying a superhero gene, he hits the road to interview 45 supers to prepare himself for the possibility."

If I remember correctly the book will be out in December, and Amazon has it up for pre-order here. Hopefully I will be able to post my page soon.
