Well, 09 ended with an onslaught of work and turned out to be a pretty good year.
Here's a picture showing how I'll be spending my new year celebration...

Siege: Embedded
My next Marvel book is called Siege: Embedded and it's a tie-in to Marvel's big event for 2010. As far as I can tell from a few articles on the web, Siege is about Norman Osbourne using his considerable power to attack Asgard (home of the Norse gods) which is floating over Kansas (I think) at the moment. Are you as confused as I am? Anyhow, Embedded follows the reporter Ben Ulrich as he investigates the real story that Osbourne doesn't want the public to see.
The book is written by Brian Reed and the art is by one of my favorite artists, Chris Samnee. Marvel has an interview with Reed about the book here, as well as some preview images (the same ones I'm posting below). I'm really excited about this book because it even though it will have action, it's not your typical super hero book.
Enough with the talky talk, get with the pics!

Another release for 12/9...
The Anchor #3! CBR has a preview and so do I. These are the first 5 pages of the issue, but my favorite pages are from the last scene, where The Anchor fights a skeleton monster in Rome. I won't post any of those, but be assured, they're worth buying the issue just to see. It's really fun stuff.

Phonogram #6 is out 12/9
Would you look at that, a one month gap between Phonogram issues! Hooray! To be fair to the creative team (including me), the only time we were the cause of the delay was between issue 1 and 2. Since then it's been issues beyond our control. Comixology has a preview here, and I'm posting the pages without the words below.

Long time no update...
Well, before you know it 2 and half weeks go by and November is gone. I guess I've been busy, but I don't feel like I've been killing myself with work, so maybe I've found a balance? Either way, all this work has given me plenty to post about in the next few weeks.
Let's start with some Anchor covers. The first two are for The Anchor #4 and the third one is for The Anchor #5...
Next up is Die Hard: Year One #3. There were a lot of boats this issue...
Next up is S.W.O.R.D #2 from Marvel. There's a preview over at CBR, click here to see it.
Well, that's it for now, but there is still a lot of exciting stuff to come.

BOO!
Well, Phonogram was pulled and delayed until next week. :(
It has something to do with incorrect bar-codes (that I hear are rarely used anyways) and Kieron talks about that more over on his site.
However, here's a preview, but Kieron says there's spoilers so you might just want to wait until next week and pick up the issue instead.

S.W.O.R.D. #1 preview (UPDATED)
A proper preview of S.W.O.R.D. #1 is up at CBR, click here to see it. For one reason or another I seem to go uncredited, but I'm looking into that. Anyway, below are the first 5 pages without the lettering.
UPDATE:
Apparently, my name being left off of the credits page was an oversight by Marvel. Whoops. I'm told I'm credited in the back story drawn by Jamie McKelvie, and that it will be fixed in the trade. Stuff happens, I guess.

The End League #9 is out tomorrow (11/4)
The last issue of The End League is out tomorrow. It's a 40 page issue that wraps up all the loose ends and here's the preview from CBR. Andy MacDonald is on art duty and it's written by Rick Remender. Below is a page that's not in the preview, but it won't spoil any story, enjoy!

Samnee Black Manta
I was able to do a piece for fun today, which is rare. Nothing special on my part but the art is by the spectacular Chris Samnee. I LOVE his stuff and this piece really jumped out at me, so thanks to Chris for sending me the line art to color.

I guess I can say this now.
Brian Bendis (yes, that Brian Bendis) is releasing a 10 year anniversary hardcover of his OGN, Fortune and Glory. The reason I'm posting it is because it's coming out in color and I'm the one who colored it. I'm pretty much done at this point, just a few "extras" to color and some notes from Brian to address, and then the art will be all done. Also...
OK, I want to state for the record that I might be getting oversold here a bit...
As seen on twitter (by his 17,000+ followers) by Brian Bendis.
